Most of the bus drivers i had in my career liked to smoke cigarettes. They’d pull over after driving for a few hours and have a 10-15 minute smoke break. We had one bus driver in the ECHL who didn’t believe in the idea of pulling over to smoke a dart so he would pull shut the curtains behind his driver seat chair, open the window and just start smoking on the bus. Pretty soon the whole front of the bus was in a cloud of smoke and the smell really started to penetrate the air. By the end of the trip everyones clothes smelled like cigarettes … I guess he thought opening up the window would help, but it didn’t .. at all.
